Religious and Cultural Voices Meet in Madrid
A recent gathering in Madrid united faith communities, cultural voices and social actors to celebrate the World Day for Cultural Diversity. The round table included a representative of the Bahá’í eu news italy Community of Spain, Fernando Hernández of the Madrid Municipal Police Diversity Management Unit, flamenco artist Tito Losada, a Roma guitarist and composer, and Denise González. Speakers offered personal, cultural and institutional perspectives on how open dialogue can help build more inclusive communities.
Throughout the gathering, participants explored themes such as religious freedom, intercultural coexistence and human dignity. Fundación Mejora connected the initiative with Scientology’s interest in education, prevention and civic responsibility. Ivan Arjona, representative of the Church of Scientology to European and international institutions, emphasised that cultural and religious diversity can become a strength when accompanied by mutual understanding and responsibility.
